Die Tramontane Jacke von Helikon-Tex ist eine Jacke mit einer winddichten Schicht. Die Windjacke lässt sich durch das Verpacken in einer auf der Brust aufgenähten Tasche (Selfpack) auf die Größe einer Getränkedose komprimieren.
Beim Tragen macht sich das geringe Gewicht der Tramontane-Jacke bemerkbar. Sie schützt vor Wind und gleichzeitig ist sie kaum spürbar. Auch ideal als Wanderjacke geeignet.

Die Jacke besteht aus sehr leichtem und strapazierfähigem WindPack® Nylon. Dies ist ein schnell trocknendes, nicht absorbierendes Material, das zusätzlich mit einer DWR-Imprägnierung (Durable Water Repellency) überzogen ist.

Außerdem ist ein Reißverschluss über die gesamte Länge befestigt, ein Kordelzug am unteren Rand der Jacke und Gummizüge an den Ärmelbündchen, sodass die Wärme bei Bedarf im Inneren bleibt.
